How we work

We believe in creative collaboration and teamwork. We are committed to making, sharing, promoting and repurposing Europe’s digital cultural heritage.

Focus areas:

  • Academic Research
  • Communications
  • Technology
  • Education
  • Impact

We address these topics in smaller groups in the form of special interest communities. As a member of a community you can participate in Task Forces and Working Groups which are setup to address ongoing activities and challenges affecting the Association members, and the digital heritage field.

Outside of the communities you can join our LinkedIn group, use our membership list to find members from across Europe that share your interest or challenge, keep up-to-date with Europeana's latest developments through a monthly Network Association newsletter and attend our annual event.

Every 4 years the Europeana Network Association appoints six members to form its Management Board, who sit on the Europeana Governing Board and represent the Network Association in Europeana Foundation’s executive decision making.

Every year at an Annual General Assembly, Europeana Network Association members elect a governing body of 36 representatives to form the Members Council. Together with the Europeana Foundation and its Governing Board, the Members Council decides how Europeana will promote and support digital cultural heritage and what its yearly business plan should include.
